I just heard about another MSP attacked this weekend by ransomware. I don’t have all the specifics to talk about this week but wanted to remind everyone in the MSP community that you need to be prepared. What I’m talking about here is having a plan. Something that you have written down on paper that your team understands and is able to implement.
I want you to walk through what you would need for recovery in the event of an attack on your or one of your client networks. If you have multiple people in your organization, I want you to sit down with them and make sure you’re addressing as much of a ransomware scenario as possible.
To guide you along, I created this ransomware preparedness video (this is actually SecOps episode 42).
Ransomware recovery planning is something that our partners are actively implementing, and I think this is such an important topic that I wanted to share it with our community at large.
If you haven’t started coming up with a DR plan for ransomware, aren’t sure if you’ve accounted for everything within your current plan, or just want to get another perspective, I’d strongly recommend taking a look at THIS video.
